Our first fundraiser for the mascot sculpture is scheduled for Thursday, May 6 at Shop Suey Boutique in Redlands. It's the perfect spot to shop for Mother's Day or graduation gifts. Check out their website:
Today we chose the base rock for the wildcat sculpture. Artist Scott Krohne (on top of the rocks) will model the wildcat to fit the shape of the rock. Our first thoughts upon driving into the rock yard were that the rocks all looked like piles of potatoes! I am sure that REV Principal John Maloney and RUSD Chief Academic Officer Paul Cullen (they were the contacts for the "rock guy") did not think it could possible take so long just to pick out a rock, but we finally found the perfect one!
